How to Fly an RC Plane

Once you have your RC plane, you need to learn how to fly it. Remember to always make sure you know how to proceed and do not take any unnecessary risks at first. Keep your plane safe so that you can use it for a long time. This article provides basic instructions on how to fly an RC plane.
First: Use fully-charged batteries
You should begin by putting batteries into both the plane and the remote control unit. Choose a quality brand, and charge them before you fly your plane. If you are using a motorized RC plane, fill the fuel tank.
Second: Find the right spot
Do not fly your RC plane inside a house. Find a spot where nothing can get in the way of your plane. You should find a place where accidents are unlikely to occur. Avoid roads, ponds and trees. A field is the perfect place for a beginner to fly an RC plane. Do not fly your RC plane on a very windy day.
Third: Get your plane ready for take-off
While on the ground, hold your plane and test all the commands, including ascent, descent, yaw and roll. If something does not work like it should, fix your plane first. Place your plane on the ground: and make sure nothing stands in its way.
Fourth: Get your plane up in the air
Once you have checked everything, turn on the plane's engine. Let it warm up for a few seconds. Make your plane take up speed on the ground: it should get airborne soon with the proper speed and momentum. Once your plane flies, stay calm and avoid flying against the wind. Do not push any buttons too hard and keep your plane moving in a straight line. Use the remote control to change your plane's altitude and wing angle while it is in the air.
Fifth: Landing you plane
Reduce speed as much as possible, then have your plane descend in a straight line. If you do not feel comfortable, you can catch your plane or have it crash gently into a protective surface.
